Constructed entirely from a single 3’ x 19’  sheet of paper and later hand knotted onto transparent tulle, this cut piece is meant to emulate the experience of walking a mandala giving the viewer room to move or meditate on details. Although its black, lace like structure references mourning, the tumult of plants depicted are blossoming and allow light to flow through. From the cut paper remains of ‘The Walk’ simple earth like vessels were created meant to hold the seeds of local plant varieties beneficial to pollinators.  Additional paper scraps were used to create seed bombs which were then distributed to community members to plant. The used blades were sewn, armor like, onto a workwear jacket. These pieces were shown in 2024 at the Multnomah Arts Center in Portland, Oregon in a two person show with Jingzi Zhao titled Moving Work.
