This piece is a cyanotype also known as a solar or sun print. Although a number of prints can be created using the same cut paper piece, every print made using this medium is 100% unique. I hand paint the paper I have previously torn down with the cyanotype solution at night which leads to differing coatings as can how humid or dry the night is. I only do my exposures outdoors using the UV of the sun. Exposure times change depending on how late into the spring or summer I make the print, if clouds pass over head, etc. and even changes in the water with which I bathe and rinse the prints after the exposure can have an impact on the end result. To me, falling into rhythm with the literal elements around me is part of what makes this work compelling. 
 
I check all of my prints multiple times to make sure they meet my standards for being sold. However, please set you expectations accordingly- this is an organic process and the prints reflect that. RETURNS FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN MISSHIPMENTS OR DAMAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
