Maren Salomon (she/her) was born in Northern Germany and currently resides in the Pacific Northwest.  Working across several mediums including printmaking and cut paper, her practice is largely an attempt to reintegrate and recenter our relationship to the natural world.

The Notes From an Island series was exhibited in the spring of 2026 at the Lan Su Chinese Garden. Stemming from 2024 residencies with Bloedel Reserve (Bainbridge Island, WA) and the Vashon Artist Residency (Vashon, WA) they depict native plants found on the islands cut from photos of the surrounding waters. ‘The Walk’ and its related pieces were created over a three year period spanning the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic. These pieces were shown in 2024 at the Multnomah Arts Center in Portland, Oregon in a two person show with Jingzi Zhao titled Moving Work. View Project →
